We are headed home from my mother in law's funeral. It's a sad time but also a blessing. At 88 years young she lived a good life and now she's no longer in pain and suffering. The funeral was simple, just the way she wanted it.
Of course things couldn't go smoothly in other areas though. Our son had car issues on his way home last night so we have to stop and pick it up. Thank goodness his cousin headed home last night too so she picked him up 3 hours into his 4.5 hour trip. That poor kid has no luck other than bad luck with his drivers license
On the plus side I get to pick up my granddaughter when we get home and she's spending the night with us.
Vacation starts on Thursday, I am so ready. Nashville here we come. I need to figure out my eating strategy before we go so I'm prepared. We are going to see Carrie underwood at the grand ole opry and do the general Jackson dinner cruise on our anniversary. We deserve this celebration. 30 years is a long time!
Take time for reflection today, treat others as you want to be treated. Treat yourself as you treat others and life will be good!
