I need to figure out away to be a lot better about measuring food. I have been sort of estimating everything and I am wondering if I might not be way off. So starting tomorrow I am going to start measuring at least on full meal a day (figure its best to start off small)

    It's worth investing in scales that reset as you add ingredients. You will be surprised at how many extra calories you can eat without knowing, especially with pasta and rice. But remember there are lots of foods that you can eat loads of. Weighing food made a big difference to me, what I thought was one portion of rice turned out to be five!!!

    there are great inexpensive kitchen scales that you can measure foods with. they go from like 10.00 up depending on how elaborate you want them

    I know portion measuring was a HUGE shocker for me! I picked up an inexpensive scale, and dug out my measuring cups and spoons, and now I use them all time!

    Keeps me honest!

    I bet you'll find taking the time is worth the insight, for sure.
