Tapping into my reserves
Friday, June 28, 2013
Today started way to early with an ambulance run at 3:10 am. It
was scary for the man's wife, as he has had heart issues for years.
We made the long drive to his hospital of choice so he could see
his own doctor. It was an uneventful trip and he seemed to be
doing fine when he arrived. I haven't heard if he was admitted or
not. By the time we got home, it was my normal time to be awake
so I have stayed up all day. I finished my projects for the day,
went to help DH spread grass clippings in the garden and then
did chores. The baby chicks have adjusted to being in the barn
and are doing fine.
The owners of the café invited us for supper. Our romaine lettuce
topped with a luscious dressing, sausage, stirrum, (a type of
homemade dough that is fried), bing cherries and a rhubarb dessert.
A very simple meal and we had fun visiting with the other guests.
DS and his fiancé (yes, our son who is moving away asked his GF
to get married) are home to start the process of packing for the move
in about 2 weeks. So much to sort through and give away what they
will not need in a small apartment. Mostly the toys, books and a
few other things. Clothes have been sorted through for Goodwill
and bagged up. Another step forward in their life's journey.
I am catching up with all my SP friends before bedtime. I think it
will be a early-to-bed night.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend. HUGS!
