Darn Neighbors!!!! LOL

Friday, June 28, 2013

Okay first off, let me say I love my neighbors. They are an older couple, roughly 60 (not OLD, but older than us) and they worry about us. Yesterday they asked me to stop by but I had been jogging and was all sweaty and had promised to take the kids swimming (which I did), then had softball and didn't get home till after 9pm. I hadn't seen my husband but for a minute all day so I stayed in rather than going over to visit. Today I went over and visited with her and him and she gets out her laptop to show me her weight loss journey pictures. Now mind you she is pretty seriously overweight now and easily weights considerably more than I do, BUT she is also a lot taller than me. Some years ago now she lost well over 100 lbs after gastric bypass, but has since gained a good 60 of it back. I love this woman to death tho since she is telling me this to motivate me as she is eating a I do love them though, they husband is teasing me with carrot cake he is sending to my house and loaves of french But, I brought it home and didn't eat any. I don't want it. I want to see my toes!

So hubbies car broke down today, he'll be using my van for awhile and I'll be carless which means no stairs. This isn't really okay with me but forces me to further tackle my new goal of couch to 5k! I love finding the incentives!

Well meaning and caring neighbors, but you hang in there and stick to your wise choices!! It appears that the bypass surgery didn't teach her how to eat wisely.
