I'm down 20 pounds since surgery as of today. Total is 37 pounds. It's hard to believe it's almost 40 pounds total. But I feel so great! I don't necessarily have more energy than I did before, but my calories are so low, that could be why. I'm trying to get intentional exercise in, mostly from walks, but mentally exercising is still a struggle. I have noticed I can do things like go up several flights of stairs without feeling like I'm going to keel over, or just walking like at the store or something, hubby said he noticed I'm walking faster. Yay!
Food's been no problems...I mean I haven't had trouble with dumping or with anything I'm eating. I've heard people have trouble with eggs, cheese, pork, etc. I'm able to eat anything like that that I've tried so far. Chicken (even with broth) is a little dry to me, it goes down ok, but slowly and it's not really worth the effort to me right now, since I have so much else (protein wise) that I CAN eat. Next time I try chicken, I'll probably crockpot it and see if that helps.
I went to a meeting last night and everyone ordered pizza. I am a great plan aheader and brought hard boiled eggs, yogurt, etc for myself, but boy oh boy, did I want that pizza!!! I considered taking a bite but I really didn't want to get sick, especially at someone else's house! So I avoided the pizza...as difficult as it was. So tonight I am making eggplant pizzas! Yay! It's a spark recipe and one that I love anyway and made lots even before surgery. It's not the same, but it's pretty close. (Everything in the recipe I've eaten already and is ok, eggplant, tomato, cheese, etc.) It's in the oven and I can't wait! LOL
Guess that's it. I feel like I'm forgetting something, but if so, I'll just blog again! :)
