A friend of my is using a different fittness application. I told her about SP and she is going to try it. This other program allows the dieter to add food on a daily basis depending on how much they work out, which is an odd concept. If that were the case for me I would never loose and I would be knocking myself out to workout to eat lots of extra food. The idea for dieting is to lower our intake, so we can develop better lifestyle habits not be gluttons. SP does adjust our calorie limit based on how much we workout and our metabolism.
Another issue that surprised me, she is counting her calories in advance of eating and limiting what she u eats. I eat and then track my consumption. i would really feel deprived if I had to cluster my food, count the calories and then eat. I usually track my calories at intervals, just in case I am going over and eat almonds or something to bring up the nutritional values were they need to be..
I am sticking with what I know works for me. The other program allows too much flexibility to be safe and effective. It sounds my own program I was using before SP which is to estimate total food consumption and then the calorie expenditure and adjust the eattng accordingly which is like getting the cart before the horse. I am glad SP does all the research for us and it does work!
