I have been super busy this past week, with volunteering. I am going to 2 places daily for multiple hours. At one place I am working to get a State Rep elected, and the other inputting surveys. Both are never ending jobs, and despite telling myself that I will just do one hour, I find myself staying longer because " I am just going to finish this ". I find myself setting bigger goals to accomplish. I have almost written every address in the State Rep.'s district, just 6 precincts to go. I have to write the full address on the pre-cards, which then get mailed to the people, letting them know that she will be stopping by to meet them. I know that I am way ahead of her, since she is only able to walk 1-2 precincts a week, but it is all in a binder, and I can't slow down. At the other place, with the surveys, I can't catch up. It has all the surveys from the door-to-door campaigns in SE Michigan for CWA, and I have to type what is on them into a computer version. I am falling behind, which makes me want to work harder.

While doing this though, I eat breakfast before the one, then lunch in between, and then go to the second one. I am glad that it is Friday, because I am exhausted. I haven't been walking, because it has been raining heavy for 3 days now, and I slept in late today, after reading a Dean Koontz novel till 7 a.m. I weighed in just now, and was 224.8, which is good, down 4.2 since last Friday, and eliminating the gain of the previous week.

Tonight I am answering phones for my friend at the pizzeria. His Dad, who had the stroke, actually showed up at work, so I may not need to help them there for much longer. His speech was fine, and he walked okay, plus he can drive, so he's thinking another month.

Next week, my goal is to limit volunteering to one a day, and 2 days a week each. I will skip Wednesday, so I can be less tired. I would say that I was hoping for the rain to stop, but it is lowering the temp, which is okay by me. I want to get below 224, which should be easy.

Hopefully, I have more time to get online. Have a great weekend, and I hope all is well with all of you.

    Glad to see that you're just busy and not out of commission! I've been stretched pretty thin myself this week!

    miss you.. between you and me being so busy we never get to talk :(.... i am glad you aredoing well my friend... my kids are coming out to visit 17th to the 24th of july.. Both of them this time :) ttys .. miss you!!!

    WOW - that's a load. Remember that stress can be a big contributor to your weight loss plan! Not to mention your general wellbeing. Good idea to reduce your hours a bit. I hope that works out well. It must feel pretty good to be involved in your local community, though. Just remember to take care of yourself while you're helping all those other folks!

    Wow. You really stay busy! It's cool that you're helping in all of these various ways. I can see why you're wore out though. Good job on the loss too! :)
