So I didn't blog yesterday. Didn't have time, and decided that was okay.
That said, I did move my bod.
And this morning, I went for a walk at about 5. I have been bugged lately because when I walk in the morning, I carry my shuffle (attached to some piece of clothing), my phone, and a flashlight. The phone and flashlight have been going into a pocket of a fleece jacket. The problem with that is that my fleece jacket is too hot. I don't want to carry that stuff in my hands, and my husband would get naggy if I don't have my phone.
So this morning, I put them both in the smallest over-the-shoulder purse I've got (holds a phone and about two credit cards), and went on my way.
It felt so fine to be able to swing my arms freely. I think I took bigger strides even. Why would I take a bigger stride if I was only wearing a t-shirt, I wonder?
Don't know. Don't care.
All I know is that when I got home, I was a little sweaty and started to stretch in the back yard. My favorite dance song came on the shuffle ("Stoned" by Dido). I stopped stretching and DANCED in the backyard through the whole song. Imagine a neighbor peeking over a fence ... there's the tubby chick dancing (in rhythm!), to absolutely no sounds at all, with a big ole grin on my face. Crazy girl!
Then I went inside and held the bosu above my head for a 10 count (3 times until my arms gave out).
Now I've got to figure out how to move my body this weekend when it will be a zillion degrees outside.
By the way - a great exercise for your core is to do a plank while holding the flat side of a bosu instead. My abs are feeling it!
