Seminar is interesting. I've seen a few colleagues and have gotten some good ideas. My daughter texted me in the afternoon and asked if I was having fun -- my response was "not yet."
Then my husband, who had spent the day wandering and checking stuff out, took me to Margaritaville for dinner. How much fun! We bonded with one of the performers during our table wait. Fascinating woman. Met her husband, another performer. Learned all about her kids. She met her husband at clown school when she was 20 and has been with him ever since (27 years), etc. Best part of the trip so far. Great good, good music, everyone having a good time. I texted The Girl and said "I'm having fun now."
Then back to walking around outside. The scale of everything is amazing. We walked thru The Forum, and I didn't fathom how huge the statues were until I was on the second floor and saw one fom that perspective. There are statues that act as pillars that appear to hold up the ceiling -- they are immense. And everything is big.
We went to The Bellagio, which is fabulous and elegant and doesn't smell like cigarettes. I have photos that I'll try to post on our return.
It is projected to be 114 outside today. Keeping it real.
