feeling like a turtle

Friday, June 28, 2013

sloooooowwww is the weight loss...been really trying and and making progress but it's slow....not sure if it's age ( 45) but losing weight is taking it's time....will stick with it because i feel good and am getting lots of good exercise and well, it's just good for me overall to eat well and take care of my body......

resolve to have a good weekend of fun, lots of seasonal veggies ( thank you summer!) and bike riding, swimming and maybe a 5 k run on sunday....

happy canada day weekend!

Embrace patience, perseverance, and commitment. I don't believe in "dieting." I believe in living a healthy lifestyle. I always talk about my lightning turtle speed. This is a journey, a life's Ultra race. It's not a 100m dash. We live it, we get better every day. You can do this. Age is not an issue. Been there, done that, destroyed all the myths! Stay strong, focused, and live your dream!

Time will pass anyway, whether you do something or not (I read that somewhere recently) so dont stress about the time its taking, its going off, thats whats important. You have a lovely active life by the sounds of things, and eating right, so keep doing what you're doing and one day you will be reporting that you have reached your goal weight.

It's so easy to want the weight to come off faster! Just keep focusing on how well you are feeling and that you are doing good things for your health with your exercise and healthy eating.

Hope you have a wonderful, fun filled weekend! emoticon
