Pot luck planning- this is dangerous territory. We do a pot luck every Saturday and then play board games with our friends after. As a group, we vote on the theme. 4-1 I get outnumbered on the healthy stuff unless I can convince them it isn't healthy. This week, I'm hijacking the menu by adding a massive side of steamed veggies. Everyone else wants perogies, bratwurst, and pudding cake. I'll probably have half a brat, a couple perogies, and maybe a small serving of pudding with bananas. I will def. have a TON Of steamed veggies and eat healthy early in the day. Here's to hoping Saturday comes out ok.
In other news, I got the most awesome unintended workout last night- and half of hyvee thinks I was drunk. No, seriously. I got THAT cart. I got there at 5:15 in the middle of a massive sale, which meant they were low on carts. I got the cart with the left wheel falling off. I knew it had issues, but found out how damaged it was AFTER I loaded it with healthy stuff (and a lot of pepsi for my friends- I don't drink the stuff, but the sale was ridiculous and I end up feeding it to them anyway so may as well be cheaply). Even walking straight took all my body weight thrown behind it to keep it from hitting people-turning was crazy. After I checked out, with all my amazing deals (heya, crab 10 for 10, I'm in!) I changed carts and easily walked out. Sadly, everyone thinks I was that 5 o'clock drunk (btw, I had consumed NO alcohol). You should have seen the looks! Whatev. I was dripping sweat, so I'm calling it a bonus workout.
I'm down another pound today. And my waist was an inch smaller. I'm chalking this up to starting the Tiffany Rothe workout videos again-well and a little of being hungry every night and not caving to fourthmeal. Man they are super-effective.
