OK, so here's the thing. Had organised this a while back, and am very much looking forward to it! We're having a couple of friends over for a mini cocktail party and Chinese take out. I know this is going to be a blow to the diet - so I want to be as careful as possible while still enjoying myself. I am determined not to be a killjoy, and in any case, not to beat myself up if it does hinder my weight loss a little, but I do want to be a bit more sensible.
So far my plans are to have fruit based cocktails ( no cream based ones), as they are lower in fat, even though not exactly calorie friendly. I will also be doing far lower measures of alcohol for me, and space the drinks out with water if I can bring myself to as well! :) I expcet our friends will bring nice nibbles like crisps and dip and cake and chocolate - which I will not be having (though if I cave, I may have one small portion of one item only). We're having Chinese - which is the real blow here... I know what I'll have, and I think it's not *quit* as bad as what I could have - which is something. I'm aiming for spring rolls with sweet chilli sauce and smoked chilli chicken shreds. These are, of course, still very diet damaging, so I was hoping to only take a few bits, so I get to enjoy them, but without having a whole meal - and augmenting them with salad.
Anyway - any advice on what else I can do to still enjoy the night but not go mad? :) much appreciated! :D
