Day 3 was a day off work for me and I usually struggle a little more because things aren't all packed and ready~I have to open the refrigerator or cupboard and see other choices, but because I had the Spark Solution plan to follow, it went really well. The spinach feta wrap for breakfast kept me satisfied until lunchtime. I made the Caesar salad for lunch and it was ok, but the dressing was a little too tart for me. We loved the Inside-Out Burgers which was a little surprising as neither of us care for onions (and you put an onion inside the patty before grilling). My favorite was the little berry cobbler cup for dessert~yum! Super easy to make and single serve~can't wait for fresh blackberries! Exercise was supposed to be 30 min of cardio intervals and stretching after. I ended up with 22 min (had to cut short due to hubby work schedule) and didn't do any stretching. Overall, a good day.
Day 4 was another day at work. I had to do quite a bit of prep the night before and felt like I spent my whole evening in the kitchen between cooking ahead and washing all the dishes, but it was worth it to have breakfast made and lunch packed. The breakfast cookie reminded me of a granola bar without the stickiness. I thought it was ok and glad I had a cup of skim milk to go with it. I will probably make again, though, because they are easy to grab and go. And it kept me satisfied clear until lunchtime. I really liked the orange-miso stir fry and after the initial prep, it was easy to heat up for a work lunch. The fish for dinner was really good, but quite a bit of work to fix. Dinner seemed like so much food, but at the end of the day, I was in range for everything. Did not do the strength exercises, but did do a 45 min walk and also walked to/from work.
After 4 full days, I am noticing that I am not craving sweets/carbs like I normally do. I was eating whole grains/fruits prior to this, but for some reason the way this program plans them, I am satisfied. I definitely need to step up my game with exercise. Need to get back to some of my DVD's~cardio alone is not enough. I am fighting the urge to get on the scale. I am waiting until Monday to see how the entire week went. I am trying not to have expectations. I know my success is not determined solely on the number on the scale. I have been consistent, I feel strong and I am proud of myself for that.
