Fitbit anyone??

My sister told me about fitbit..I ordered one and got it day before yesterday. I have to say it is really encouraging me to walk more.
I have been walking for the last two weeks at the schools track..SLOWLY. The first week I was only able to walk 1/4 mile. Today I was up another 1/4 mile..Yippee for me.
Too I have been biking round trip 2.5 miles to the school . Later in the day I walk one mile to Leslie Sansone's DVD..and recumbent bike another 4 to 6 miles.
One thing I wish the Fitbit did was record the bike riding as well..But I can record manually on the Fitbit site what I biked..but I would rather record it on Spark.
If you have a fitbit let me know what you think..and what it has done for you.

    Really glad to hear the positive comments about the fitbit. I have been considering ordering one but really want to "see" one first.

    I agree about trying your fitbit on your shoe. If the amount of steps fitbit reports while riding equals the amount of steps you normally walk in the same amount of time, I'd consider it pretty accurate. I love my fitbit. I have a seriously sedentary job, and my fitbit is pushing me to figure out how to move more during the day.

    I love my Fitbit. I have the Fitbit Flex - the one you wear on your wrist and it has totally motivated me to work more. I have been consistently getting 10,000 or more steps a day, but yesterday due to flight delays I missed my goal, I was bummed out. Not sure what Fitbit you have, but my friends tell me they put it on their shoe with the clip adapter - that is for the FItbit One I believe.

  I love my fitbit. I have had it since Christmas. The one thing it does for me is to motivate me to get up and move! I am more aware of how active or inactive I can be. I usually get in at least 10,000 steps a day and aim a lot higher most days. Fitbit plus tracking my food on SparkPeople is what is working to get me to lose a bit of weight and get a healthier lifestyle. I hope you get motivated also with your new fitbit. emoticon emoticon
