I have to say that I will be happy to see June end. It is normally a favorite month of mine, and there were certainly some highlights this June! The twins turned ONE -
and my one and only son will be turning 24 on Sunday!
#1 Son!!! I traveled to sunny FL and had a wonderful, albeit too short, trip!
But the month was filled with sadness as well. The loss of my cousin's husband, two friends diagnosed with cancer, and this week the loss of a co-worker/friend and today, the news that a classmate that I grew up had passed away. All between the ages of 45 - 55. lives lost too young; battles to be fought with the others.
Needless to say, I've been so far off track with my "everything". I did manage to go to the doctor for my physical, and while I still have one more test to complete, everything came back NORMAL! Obviously he forgot to check my brain/personality!
My blood pressure was higher than normal, but he wasn't worried YET. Will recheck in a month.
Lack of sleep definitely an issue. Stress related - likely. So while we deal with the underlying stress issues, he wants me to try a low dose sleep aid for 30 days. I'm not one to take meds...barely manage to remember to take a multivitamin (they usually expire before I remember!), but I will give it a shot and see if things look a little differently on more than 4 hours of sleep
AS FOR TOMORROW???? I am heading to Chicago to cheer on the home team Blackhawks along with 2 - 3 million other folks! Never have I done anything like this, but a friend talked me into taking the day off. Never mind that they beat my birth place team THE BRUINS!!! It should be an exciting time and hopefully a safe time for all! I don't envy the Chicago police force at all!!! Talk about a crappy job!
Oh let me not forget to tell you about my morning!
I woke up with lots to do on the computer (Sparking, for one). No internet, no phone service, no cable tv. WTH????? I called on my cell phone and was told "yes, we are working on the problem, hopefully by 10:00 a.m". Well hello, it was 5:00 a.m. Plans gone awry! I grabbed a cup of coffee and my Spark book and headed out to the patio, only to STEP IN DOG POOP!!!
After a clean-up, I headed down to burn off some steam on the treadmill, got ready for work, and then hit bumper to bumper traffic all the way. This new commute is turning me into a road rage crazy lady!
Well, that's my life in a nutshell! And I'm the biggest nut of all! Off to read a bit more of my Spark book so I can get started on Monday with the 2 week plan. I need the boost!
Hugs to all!!!
You are all
