Studies show that people who do not get a good night of sleep eat about five-hundred & sixty-six (566) more calories per day.

May the good Lord bless us all with a nightly eight hours of restful sleep!

So, if we could get a good night's sleep, we wouldn't need to diet, now there's a concept.... wish I could do it that way..... even with my sleeping pills and lots of exercise, some nites I just don't sleep...

Wow - we eat that much more when we don't sleep well. Must plan on getting more sleep.

Good sleep is important to all aspects of being healthy. Without good sleep, the whole body starts to malfunction. Of course, this also means we have a hard time recognizing that our body isn't working properly because our brain isn't working properly!

    Sweet dreams.

I can verify that being true - suffering from insomnia sometimes leaves me shattered and tiredness equates to hunger and often laziness.

    thats really interesting.

I know that I have to really watch myself with my eating, now I am assuming that is because I have major trouble with sleeping...I stay awake for several days and nights....or just get small cat naps of an hour or two. I always thought it was hereditary as my mother had the same sleep habits I seem to be acquiring over time.

Thanks for the tidbit!

I can pretty well attest to that. And I have the dark circles to prove it. I just wish I liked sleeping more....
