It's Nice and Rainy Today...

Thursday, June 27, 2013

I woke up early this morning.

I quit smoking last night and decided to let God take care of any urges I may have.

With him all things are possible.

It is sort of silly of me to make this lifestyle change and then continue to smoke? I don't think so. Lifestyle changes are usually for the better - that is my goal.

I did my workout as normal and added a little to it since I wouldn't have to chance to do the cool down walk (because of the rain).

That's it for now - have a blessed day!

My Son is using that electronic cigarette. He was only a day into it, so when I talk to him Sunday I will see how he is doing with it. He said it feels and tastes like he is smoking a real cigarette. The only question I have, is it like Near beer? With an alcoholic? Your still getting a bit of the nicotine, which is the addictive part. I can't say either is really pulling away from the addiction. A former boy friend (3 years sober he says) drank the near beer. He still had a problem. So we can only see, the good thing is he is not smoking 1 to 2 packs a day now. (My Son)
I know it's just as hard to pull away from smoking (never did it) as it is from junk food. I myself understand the addiction. Only difference is we need food, we don't need the cigs.
So good luck with that, I know it's a tough road, but you are coming this far to recognize
the fact you can't clean up your system, when your still smoking. I am with you all the way!!! MJ emoticon

Btw it seems like cold turkey is the only way. I have several friends that did it that way, and they are clean today.
