Stuck at home...

Thursday, June 27, 2013

Hello all!
First of all, thank you all you wonderful friends that visited my blog and sympathized with my predicament...I am still in pain as the burns got infected, and now I am stuck at home on sick leave and have been roundly condemned by those I work with...They even said that there was bets taken as to whether I would come in or not to work...I didn't want sick leave, but with the soreness and the ability only to drink cold water with a straw, I didn't think going into work at a hospital was exactly the course of wisdom...but then I don't think my colleagues are exactly intelligent, and sick leave is a sin here unless you are one of the chosen few...I am going back on Monday to a month of hellish shifts, I hope I can get through because I just don't have the ability to work as I used to...I tire very easily and really don't want to go down that road...but I have no choice. Oh, well, It will pass...just like everything else...
Had a pretty bland day diet-wise...could only manage boiled potato and veggies, mouth too sore for anything else...lots of cold water and mint tea, but other than that, keeping well away from sauces etc...burn quotient is still too high.

That's all for today- will write more tomorrow. emoticon

I am sorry about your rude coworkers . try to make the most of this time off. When I went in to get my pacemaker I told only my husband and I said I wanted no visitors . then I pretended I was on vacation read what I wanted pretended I was ordering out . watched my favorite tv shows it was a fun thing for me . you can do the same at home do all the stuff you love to take care of you ,read, watch movies , paint your nails, take a nice bath but have someone check the water for you. you are not stuck at home but on a mini vacation where it is all about pampering you emoticon emoticon emoticon

Just like the picture says I'm here for you...

That is just plain rude and unsympathetic of your coworkers to think you on sick leave cause your not sick when you are sick.

well just try and have great day. emoticon emoticon

I'm sorry you have to put up coworkers acting like that when you aren't feeling good. I have a good friend that also works in a hospital, and she has some coworkers that act the same way when someone is out sick.

I hope you have a speedy recovery; not for your coworkers, but because I know you want to feel better for YOU! emoticon

Just ignore the feeling of guilt for what ever reason of them being there and enjoy yourself a great and rousing four day weekend of lounging and leisure or getting caught up time for certain chores you have put off or reading or what ever....just.... emoticon m emoticon emoticon emoticon

I am so sorry - don't let the turkeys get you down. You need to do what you NEED to do to take care of YOU.
