So, I have been trekking on this journey all my life and back in April found out I have NASH, high cholesterol and I am only 34...something had to change. Of course I cried when I found out, thinking about my 5 year old daughter, 12 year old step-daughter, my husband and how I can not let them down so early in life. I say them because I couldn't imagine leaving them and this Earth so early, so something HAD to change. I am proud to say since April 9th, I have lost 20 pounds and a few weeks ago started to measure myself instead of weighing...the scale wasn't budging much and discouraging me. I have had a few hard set-backs the past few weeks (lost my mother-in-law whom I loved so very dearly and having to setup her funeral) but happy to say I am back on track. I started reading a book that has really opened my eyes and helped me figure out why I have not been able to stick with losing weight (hate the word DIETING). I have been able to pin point certain events in my life and people that have held me back. i recommend everyone read it, it is called Fattitudes. It's a very good self-help book. Well, off to work and read more of Fattitudes. Thank you everyone on this website that inspires me and motivates me to being healthier and happier with myself!
