Good morning/afternoon/evening Sparkers!!! I'm super excited today. Just feeling the fire inside me today and I'm not going to say it's all directed towards my healthy living journey, I just feel good.

My body must have been tired last night. I remember waking up around 5ish but the next wake-up was 6:10. I didn't hear my alarm go off either, hmmm. I didn't even take a sleeping aid last night.

I went to the gym and walked on the treadmill for an hour. I'm trying to push myself to walk harder as I walk longer. Yesterday my energy level was down but I made it happen. When I say walk harder, I'm starting my warm-up around 2.6, 2.7 and I'm increasing to 3.0-3.2 for the first 30 minutes and start my inclines earlier after 5 minutes. Yesterday I inclined up to a 6 and did not drop my speed below 2.7 which is really good for me. I'm focusing solely on the treadmill at this time trying to build up my speed and incline. Walking has always helped me in my weight loss goals before. I figured if I can get that speed up that I can transition a lot better into the jogging. The inclines I hear from my boss is the way to go to challenge my muscles and cause the gut muscles to engage as well. So I'm giving that a try for now.

I sweated so much yesterday that it looked like I pee pee in my sweats (light grey). Not a cute look since I didn't see it until I was in the grocery store emoticon emoticon well it went well with my shirt sweat ring so it looked like she just left the gym.

Now for my blog post yesterday about co-workers ooggling my fruit bowls. Co-Worker-Moocher #1 comes into my office around noon with her mini bowl of cantelope to get some salt (we shared that salt sweetens fruit). Now I was about to follow her to her desk and say oooo that looks so good, it look like it's sweet and stare but i didn't lol...She didn't offer me any either. But later she comes into my office - I was on the phone so she goes back to her desk and IM do you have any salty snacks? emoticon Reply: No Now what makes it even worse is that the vending machines are on our floor right across the hall. I'm glad to read that I wasn't the only one dealing with this foolishness.

But that's my story today.

    Great job on the treadmill. I love your interval variety for a great workout. When I'm on the treadmill I increase the incline every 2 - 3 minutes until I reach 15. After I reach 15 I will slow it down just a little and walk backwards. Girl, let me tell you you will feel the burn in those thighs and calves. I have to make sure that I really stretch them out after getting off the treadmill. Your doing an excellent job! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
