Bringing the Madness Home

Thursday, June 27, 2013

My boss who I had the royal bust up with, apparently is fussing with all of his team. Anyway, I did not see him today and the fires were doused a bit. I did a workout I found in a magazine several years ago. I did it at home. I took the step I bought years ago and the jump rope with the stop watch outside for the work out. I exercised in the front yard. People passing doing their exercise saw this crazy woman trying these exercises. For the one minute jog I'd run out of one driveway entrance along the side of the road and into the other driveway entrance. I realized after I had set up in the front, that people may think I am mad. Anyway, it was too late. When I finished the routine 1 hour later, no ambulance or security personnel had arrived to collect me.

It was nice exercising at home. I got home earlier, no commute and when you finish you're home.

I can just imagine it in my mind. emoticon I think it's great.

The one thing I really like about getting older is losing my care of what others think of me.

Congratulations on the workout. I hope things get better for you (and everyone else) at work.

Where I used to live - two decades ago - I walked the same torturous uphill 2 miles every day - and my goal was to do it faster and faster. For a couple of years I thought people I passed made fun of me, but then another overweight lady joined me. Then another and another and another. Turned out, I was the "hero" of the neighborhood. So what I learned was, not everyone thinks you're crazy. Good luck to you on those front of the house exercise sessions!! And let's hope your boss gets off the warpath!!

Whenever I see someone exercising, riding a bike, running as I drive by I hardly give them a second glance. Now when I am out there doing it for myself and people see me I'm like "don't look at me, quit judging me!" I totally understand how you might of thought people thought you were mad or plain crazy but what you don't know is that you might of inspired someone to get off their butt and exercise like you! :) Keep up the good work.
