This'll be quick!

Yesterday started with a dreaded employee 'counseling' session, which turned out great. A mom who is overstressed, recently moved, trouble balancing home and work. Starting to show in her attendance and performance. Reached an agreement....she'll telework 2X/week for now, and get this: as a way to balance things emotionally, I encouraged her to a challenge.....cardio 3X a week for the next 2 weeks. I'm allowing her to do this on work time, which is no biggie for me, but is HUGE for show of support..... as long as she emails me with her progress....she is so excited, and she sent her first email this morning.

My workout yesterday, GARDEN. Long overdue...has been so wet. Stretching, bending, lifting. I don't know if there's hope for my poor veggies, but the workout was different and good.

This am - first morning run in forever. 2 miles, 30 minutes. The treadmill is in the no-air, no-fan garage, so I was soaking wet at the 10 minute mark. Feeling a burn in calves and the old Achilles injury. Speed not important, endurance is.

Must run....big day. Looking forward to a 2 1/2 day weekend! emoticon
