Good things are coming, don't stop walking.

My goal every day is just to keep on walking. I have my kitchen stocked with healthy foods, lean proteins, healthy fats & whole grains. I have healthy snacks in my desk at work. I pack my breakfast & lunch most every day so that I don't get side-tracked. I aim for 5 servings of veggies & 3 servings of fruit every day (in case you didn't know, that's a LOT of food -- I rarely get hungry). I exercise at least 5 days a week -- I have 2 built in rest days & on those days, I still try to get 5000 to 8000 steps.

All these little things add up. It all counts.



Day after day, it gets easier. I still have some rebellious days, but I think we all will. Most of the time, I do what is heading me toward my goals. I may have an off day here & there, but overall, I'm still walking toward those good things.

I want to be unstoppable!!



The progress may be slow, but slow is still progress. emoticon

I want to enjoy the ride on the way to my destination.

    I'm with MLH148. I think part of enjoying the roller coaster ride is the screaming!

We just finished VBS, and our theme was Colossal Coaster World. The songs included the screaming as part of the fun of the ride...

    After years of not really exercising or being conscious of what my body really needs, I never would have believed what a difference regular exercise makes! And as you say - it doesn't have to be anything strenuous -- just MOVE!

    I have found at certain times when I am exercising (I walk with Leslie Sansone 3 miles every day) I tend to feel more tired or a little bit achy. I get past it by completing my exercise. I also found it depends on the time of the day. I do better around 10 am in the morning, if I wait until late afternoon 4 or 5 I tend to have those feelings. I think being able to accomplish this I need to look at 10am every morning.
