I mentioned briefly in my wedding update blog that I need to make a new plan and have ideas flowing. Well, it's time to really set those plans into place and get a move on.
I have not been on any sort of exercise plan since March. I've walked almost every day, went to the gym sporadically, but that has been about it. I reached my goal weight at the beginning of March and also started working 60-70hours/week. Finding time for more deliberate exercise seemed impossible, and more times than not it was very hard. Walks were my only real form of consistent (3-5 days/week) exercise for the last 3 1/2-4months.
I'm ready to change this.
I've been eating OK since March, not as planned out as I normally would be, but not off the wagon either. Eating and tracking have essentially never been a problem for me, and I know I'm lucky in that aspect since most people struggle with tracking what they eat and choosing healthy options majority of the time. It's also taken a lot of discipline to get to where I am.
My new plan will begin on Monday, 7/1. Tomorrow, 6/27 starts my honeymoon/vacation to Cape Cod and we will return to reality Monday.
I plan to run on the beach when we are in Cape Cod. I am hoping this will spark my interest to get back into running again; I have truly missed it but, as most of you can understand, having been off the exercise wagon for so long, finding the motivation to lace up those shoes and go is hard. I did go one day last week before I headed to VT for wedding weekend. Now it's just about getting back into a consistent routine.
I am going to start a new 10min workout streak - I can't guarantee that I will be 100% motivated by this, since lately I haven't been keeping track of my streak stuff, but hopefully it'll help.
I will also get back into the habit of meal planning; again this is something that is easy for me so it wont take long to get back into the swing of things.
Awhile back, for those who have followed my progress, I did a daily check in for a little while when I had fallen off the wagon for a few days, just to get myself back on track and accountable. I am going to attempt to do this again for as long as I need until the plan I say I am going to do is actually what I do. I can forsee this taking a couple of weeks to get back into a routine that isn't so hard to follow.
I am going to take the time between now and Monday to try and find more motivation; maybe I'll post some motivational quotes, anything to get my mindset back to where it should be.
I am going to start my daily check in/daily plan now so that when my new plan officially starts I'll be more prepared.
Went for a 60min walk
Ate healthy breakfast
Semi healthy lunch
semi healthy snack
Walk/Run in AM - at least 30mins
Waffles for breakfast
Applesauce for snack
PBJ for lunch and dinner
Driving to Cape Cod late afternoon so I'm just packing a sandwich for the ride and I have my 1:1 session during lunch time so I'm packing a sandwich for that, too.
Walk along beach when we get to Cape Cod - at least 20mins
My plan while we are in Cape Cod is to start the morning off with a walk/run on the beach and then end the day with a nice walk on the beach, and this wont count the walking we do elsewhere.
I will be eating out more often during this vacation, but I know how to chose healthy options so it shouldn't be too bad.
