A day off? Haha

Wednesday, June 26, 2013

Cooper slept a lot again today. It is hot, so he doesn't want to sit in my lap all that much, but he wants to be close to me, so I have to watch where I put my feet so I don't step on paws or a tail. Got my nieces to sit with Cooper this afternoon, so I could go out for a run. I did intervals as today was supposed to be a rest day. Still managed 5.8 miles in 60 minutes. My Cooper still isn't very interested in food or water. I guess that is normal after a trauma and being on medication and all. He is on two painkillers now as well as an antibiotic. I am still keeping him to slow, short walks. We did manage a little over a mile this afternoon, but it took half an hour. He definitely isn't up for running!

Hopefully we will both be back to normal in the near future. I am feeling grumpy today for no particular reason. Might have something to do with my limited exercise time. It will pass though, and tomorrow I will probably be back to being cheerful.

When you aren't into your normal routine, it does effect your moods. Hopefully soon you and Cooper will be getting back to normal. Hopefully his appetite comes back soon and he'll be feeling better too.

You are grumpy not only because of the lack of your usual exercise but your buddy is hurting. I know you are worried about Cooper.

    Hope he feels better soon.

Wow- I read back a few blogs to get the scoop on Coopers attack. I am so glad he will be okay, but what a horrible experience for you both. So glad you reported the dog and owners to the police. And that they are paying for the vet bills. Wonder if they were so quick to pay hoping you wouldn't report it. Sounds like they have been down this road before. I like the idea of the cattle prod too.

On my "end", the colonoscopy went well, all over! yeah!

I had to read back a few blog entries to see what was up with Cooper. Glad you decided to report the dog who attacked him. Where the heck was the owner if two other people, not the owner had to restrain the other dog? Looks like your reporting it will finally lead to some response from the police. Bad, bad that this owner knows her dog attacks other dogs and she still lets him go leashless. The irresponsible idiot. I hope Cooper is feeling better soon. I think I would be a bit down too, watching my dog have to go through that because of an irresponsible owner, and an inactive police force who don't want to get involved.
