Getting frustrated

I hurt my knee a couple of days ago and it is driving me crazy! Just as I was improving on my run. emoticon I promised my husband that I wouldn't run on it this week to give it time to heal. I have been walking the dogs a little farther but I just don't feel like I am getting any kind of calorie burn. My husband suggested the bike or elliptical but they use the knee too. I am going to have to come up with something or I am going to go crazy! The funny thing is I HATE to run but I feel like I get max calorie burn when I do it and I am missing it now that I am forced to take a break. I have officially went crazy!!!! emoticon

    Thanks for the ideas Mikejandz I will have to do that. I am hoping that I will be able to next week. Keeping the fingers crossed. I just feel so lazy just walking lol. Eduran6 I hope that your back feels better soon. I know how much a injury can sideline you.

  I know how you feel. although I don't run I usually go on the elliptical and haven't been able to because I hurt my back. The strange thing is I have no idea what I did it started hurting before bed time and I haven't done anything out of the ordinary. So I have just been walking for almost a week now.

  I love the enthusiasm about the running. Have you tried using ankle or wrist weights? Also to help rev up your walks, you may try stopping periodically and doing sit ups/pushups or maybe some squats and lunges... Best of luck to you and I hope your knee starts feeling better soon.
