Trying something new:)

I like a good routine. I like spicing things up also! Enter swimming. My workout buddy and I bought a month pass to the pool at Boys and Girls club. Today was our first day. We went just to see how things would go with our spin /SWEAT routine since that has been going great. We swam 275 meters. I have no idea if this is good for beginners so I will be looking up a plan a little later to see what kind of progress we can make in a month's time.
SWEAT today was a lot of push ups. We also did my favorite: 3 slams with the battle rope and drop down into a burpee! Love banging those out!

1207.90 miles for the year!
Yes this includes my .17 mile swim:)

    Good for you to try something new to add to your already amazing workouts! I have a pool, but don't really like swimming much. I have tried to swim laps and I just fizzle out after about 3 minutes~lol! It will be fun to see how you improve and having a buddy will push you for sure! Have fun with it!

    I think it safe to say that a .17 mile swim on your first swimming foray is great - I started with about half that and after a couple of months, was swimming almost 3 miles at a stretch. You might find it is a really fun thing to do and it really is my favorite because I don't get all sweaty but can workout for hours and hours and really push myself.

    emoticon I know NOTHING about Swimming, but that sounds like a Good Distance for your First Time out. I would imagine that A Month will be plenty of time to see Significant Improvements.
emoticon I am keeping my eyes open for Battle Ropes. I bet they are a Serious Calorie Burn.
