Our electricity went off early Friday a.m. and talked to a neighbor who asked which bone I fractured. He then said his son had a fracture of the scaphoid which had a cast for 6 months and it did not heal and then he had pinning procedure after all that tie in the cast. (Exactly what I did not want to hear!)

I am still trying to be optimistic regarding my fracture....

And I am recouping from 3rd eye injection for wet macular degeneration, dr said there was new fluid in the eye and I did note blurry vision for about 5 days. I have to go back in 4 weeks for eval and possibly another injection. She seemed surprised by the recurrence of fluid and mentioned my having an extended "episode."

I plan to go to work today with one functioning hand and one functioning eye.

Still trying to preserve as much PTO as possible for daughter's wedding 1000 miles away on sept 21st.

Hope to get a splint instead of cast on July 1st.

one mans fracture for sure isn't the next, so just hope for the best, I find that I look up lots of things, and the worst always sticks in my brain the longest.
here is hoping all goes well so you can enjoy your daughter's wedding with lots of time off.

You have a lot going on medically and then the electricity went off. Hope it wasn't off for long. Remember everyone heals at different rates and just because your neighbors son took a while and had to have pins DOES NOT mean you will.
Best wishes for all going well with the healing of both fracture and eyes and that you get to daughters wedding in better shape, even if July 1st is just around the corner!

July 1st is coming soon and hope you can have a splint by then. You are still trying to work and preserve the PTO for the wedding. Hope it all works out. HUGS!
