Tuesday, June 25, 2013

Not much more I can add except I question the wear perfume as so many have fragrance allergies. Thanks for stopping by and sharing a wonderful thought!

Good list. I don't wear perfume often, but I'm with the wearing it on the wrist . . . just enough that I can smell it.

    Thanks for sharing this.

I think we all have our peeves when it comes to smells. I remember when I was in the hospital after brain surgery. The worst smells for me were the nurses and aids that were smokers. They would go out to smoke and then come in to draw blood or do another procedure smelling so rank of cigarette smoke, it would make me sick. I WISH they had tried a little perfume or FABREEZE.

I do like to wear perfume, it brings back good childhood memories of people that loved me, they always smelled SO GOOD!! I try to use just a tiny tiny bit on my wrist so only I can smell it. Perfume can be expensive, so I try not to use much.

What I liked best about the blog is it said SO MUCH so simply. Making others feel good is a wonderful way to have a lovely day. I like that the list starts with SMILE and SLOW DOWN and SAY THANK YOU emoticon

You are wonderful and THANKS for making this a lovely day for me. emoticon

I agree totally - the perfume thing might be a challenge - even my son and I react to some fragrances - I tend toward something like vanilla or lemon scents and very lightly. Love the idea of doing something special for your family - when my kids were very young, I had "good china" and candles that I used for my family and like to have a lovely lace tablecloth on the table - YES just for the family - I figured there was nobody more special than they were and my kids loved it as much as I did. They also learned to be careful with china and crystal (okay neither were REALLY expensive or anything like that BUT they definitely WERE special to us). My son does the cooking now and HE loves to set a "pretty table with tablecloth and "good" china too. My stepmother does to and we like to use candles for everyday and not just company occasions too.

I am afraid I do like to wear perfume, it makes me feel "pretty". I don't wear much tho. I am more offended by the people who need a wash up. Now THAT is what gets to me, and believe me I've run into some bad ones. A few weeks ago a fellow was so bad in a store he left a "linger" like a skunk!!!

So true, Eileen! We being nurses are maybe more aware of people being offended by perfumes, especially when they are not feeling well. Take care! emoticon

You said it all Eileen, and I agree about the perfume. My goodness, I walked by a woman one day who was wearing so much perfume my eyes watered from lingering scent.

I would also leave off the perfume since I am one of those that reacts badly to it.

I really like slow down and observe & listen. Things that many of us forget about in such a fast paced world

I would add "Do something unexpected for someone in your family". Seems like it's too easy to let our frustrations out at home while we keep the mask on in public. Thanks for sharing this poster, it put a smile on my face. Happy emoticon Happy emoticon Happy emoticon
