Puppy pains

Tuesday, June 25, 2013

So my little pup was spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated (rabies.). She is not herself. I know it is normal and may take 48 hours for her grogginess to go away but I feel so bad for her. She is normally super bouncy and happy. Even her ears look uncomfortable. I just hope it heals well. The only other female dog I have ever had never fully healed after she was spayed and she all of a sudden just disappeared one day. I have heard that when dogs know they are going to die, they go off to be alone sometimes. I think that is what she did. Maybe. I don't know, but I am worried about Nani having similar problems healing. Hopefully she won't. On the plus side, the vet also fixed her hernias I think so that is a good thing too.

Her appt made for a long day. The shelter has you drop off at 8:30 am and pick up at 3 pm. We ( me and the 2 kids) were an hour from home and we had to pass the time. Not such a big deal for my 5 year old, but having ,y 2 year old miss nap made for a tough day. We did see the movie monsters university around nap time, and while it was good down time, no one really napped. By the time we got home around 4 we were all grumpy and tired. The theater gave me a headache. I am not a fan of theaters. The volume was sooo loud! Turn it down! I know...I am a party pooper! I have been three times in the last 7 years probably and only went when it was important to the kids. It was more expensive than I would have liked too!

Anyways, with all of that going on, no planned exercise happened today. I didn't eat great either. Lunch was chipotle which tasted phenomenal, but had sour cream, cheese, and rice. I have a bunch of fruits and veggies in the fridge though, so tomorrow and Thursday it is on!
