Busy day

Tuesday, June 25, 2013

Had a busy morning . . . then invited to meet in town for lunch with 'the girls' (friends of my 83 year old neighbor). That was fun . . . lots of good laughs.

Usually I'll eat at Subway because I can track what I eat . . . but they met at our mexican restaurant. So I ordered a taco salad. Didn't eat the shell or chips (MAJOR NSV RIGHT THERE!!! cos used to be, I would have a main course of chips & salsa along with my meal!!!!) But as I ate my salad, I guestimated the amount of the ingredients and tracked it that way. Best I could do.

Then I took care of some errands, and got home a few minutes go. Have to leave again in 15 minutes for another meeting. Our Neighborhood Watch group is meeting with the Fire Department to discuss what has already started out as a bad fire season.

And, if that's not bad enough, we have a maniac arsonist running around our little town who already burned down our Post Office and two other businesses - three separate incidents.

Shoulder is better today. Have done a couple relaxation sessions which seems to be helping with the pain & tension.

Hope everyone is having a successful day!

An arsonist running around, good grief! I hope they catch that person soon!

That was quite a day and yahoo for you skipping the chips. I am the same way, I used to eat so many chips with salsa that I was just about full when my larger portion of taquitos, rice and guac came. But I'd finish all that too with my margarita!

I have been much smarter the last two times we went for Mexican. We have the power!

Passing up on the chips and salsa is a NSV for sure! Hope they catch the person starting the fires.

YUP, some days are just like that. I started my day at 8 a.m. meeting the electrician at my dad's. We went out to breakfast while he worked. We ate at a restaurant in town that is very popular for it's good all hand made food. The lines can be 45 - 60 minute waits. We got right in but there was a line forming as we left. Dropped my dad off and headed home to pull maple leaf whirly-bird things. I might get done pulling them by the end of the summer there are so many ! Now taking a break watching the world go by on my front porch with my dog & a beer before I head to my eye appointment. Then home to start a pork roast for supper before I head out the door again for Hula Hooping class. See. I told you so. Some days are just like that emoticon

I like your optimism. And it sounds like an "exciting" place to be! I hope they catch him quick and nobody gets hurt.

Congratulations on your lunch, I always have trouble with that, but I'm working on it. emoticon

An arsonist? Eek! That's scary. Hope you guys catch him before someone gets hurt. It's bad enough that you lost your post office...and three incidents in a small town makes a huge impact. You did great with the chips....I always have to count them out or I just mindlessly keep eating them....don't know if I could avoid them altogether if they're in front of me. You sound upbeat...very good!
