Dust myself off...

It seems I spend about 75% of my time here on a plateau or getting back on the wagon. Yesterday I went nuts with my husband's not-so-secret stash of chocolate and which sent into a food coma (not really a coma, but an insulin over-abundance that put me to sleep). I tracked what I could and today I am back, a little wiser. The good news is that I haven't had so much sugar since last Christmas. These episodes, instead of being daily, are now semiannual, which is great! Ironically, the thing which stressed me out was my babysitter calling to cancel, which meant I had to reschedule a massage at the last minute (I know, that is a real hardship! Don't laugh).

I had a great workout today (and yesterday!) And I am on track with my food And am feeling good. Next time my babysitter cancels, I will call my mom instead of raiding the chocolate.

    Good choice there. emoticon Every so often we all just eat something that acts as a trigger. Knowing that and acting wisely most often are two completely foreign concepts to us.

    It's wonderful that you ended your blog by deciding upon an alternative action if the situation happens again. When we make a plan to do something else, it helps us to learn from our errors. Everyone makes mistakes, but when we learn from them instead of using them to beat ourselves up, then the next time we can choose to do better.

    Stay with dark chocolate and you'll be fine with occasional binge. Milk chocolate has way too much sugar and is too sweet.
