Calling all mom's: Birthday party ideas for seven year old

Tuesday, June 25, 2013

emoticon I am low on funds but would like to have my son invite three friends we play mini golf? Friendlies for ice cream? He has a July birthday. I would like it to be simple but just a way to have him socialize with friends. We live in a rural area...I can't do it at my house...stairs...older dog...thought we could all meet somewhere...any ideas? emoticon

Have a picnic in a park and take lots of bubbles and bubble wands and water pistols and let them rip!!! Simple is always the most fun.

With only 3 friends, you have a lot of options. You could do a "games day" at a local park and play soccer, baseball, etc. and then go out for pizza or ice cream afterwards.

What does your son want to do? Is there a community pool nearby and you could spend the day swimming and bring a lunch? Does he like to ride horses or off road? Camping? You could camp in the backyard and have a cookout and sleepover. Is your son a reader? Maybe he'd rather go to a bookstore and get to pick out 2-3 books instead of a party.

I've got a 6yr old... we've gone to parties at the bowling alley, Menchie's icecream parlor, Pump It Up bouncy house place, Nature Center, we are invited to one for a 7yr old next week at the zoo...

What about a picnic and maybe fishing? Is here a lake nearby that you can have a fishing party? Maybe the boys can bring their own fishing poles and you could supply lunch and cupcakes. Have cupackes decorated with fish, maybe you can serve tuna fish sandwiches and little goldfish crackers. Blue kool-aid to imitate water. This is just off the top of my head. There are plenty of ideas on Pinterest and the web

Bowling is one we have done, just one game then an ice cream or share a pizza.
