Kale Infused Shake

Oh my word...this is so tastey! It's too bad the color turns people off.
For 350 calories I got a glass and a half which is super filling.
I I snuck in 3 ounces of kale which is a lot. 2/3 cup strawberries, a frozen banana and 3/4 cup plain yogurt. 1 tbsp. ground flax seed and a tbsp. of wheat germ.
For those that haven't tried it yet, I strongly suggest you be brave and at least try it once. you will be amazed.
When I'm working night shifts I have it made a head and the mixer in the frig to save time.

    I really love adding the greens to my smoothies. (even kale, lol) Actually I think I am starting to like kale... must have just been the first one I tried that was so strongly flavored. The rest I have had don't seem to be that way. When I am home, I even have my family drinking green smoothies now. Making progress, lol. :)

  So glad to hear from you and can only imagine how much worry is involved when thinkig about your son; he's in my thoughts too. Hope his tour is over quickly.
Take care of you as I need to start taking care of me again. Hopefully, we will both get the strength to do so.

    Sounds great and I will try it. You mentioned zucchini noodles. Is that when you use a potato peeler and peel off strips? I'd like to make some and freeze too. Anything special when you freeze them or just put in a freezer bag? Thanks!!

    Yum! Green is beautiful. :D I have been putting kale in my morning smoothies for a few months and find it really satisfies that deep down desire for leafy greens.
