My views are both for & against it.
Why I think it should be is, being I have a thyroid problem & I eat healthy & exercise and keep gaining weight. The DR's keep changing my meds to try to help, but I just keep gaining weight. My DR said that my insurance company will not let her do anything else except keep changing my med to try to stop the weight gain or help on my weight program. I am 4'9" and well over 180 which is obese and I have heart problems. I am trying to lose the weight & can't. Yes I know I am fat and I feel so crappy being this way to the point of feeling depressed, where I have told my DR.
Yes there are people that don't even try to lose the weight and should not be classified as a Disease.
Why I am against......
Then there are those that are just down right lazy & don't care what they put in there mouth to eat. Some people just don't care what they look like or what results it will cause them selves. These people don't deserve anything or any kind of help as far as I am concerned. They don't exercise and all they do is say OH me I am heavy and I can't lose the weight so I will just lay around & do nothing. Well I don't mean to sound syndical but if they don't want help DON"T GIVE IT THEM TO THEM.
I care & I eat healthy & I am obese. I try everyday to drop the pounds as I would like to get off the oxygen, all the blood pressure, heart, cholesterol, thyroid and what ever other pill my DR has me on to try to keep me healthy.
We on Spark people fight every day to lose the weight & get healthy. Some of us do have medical problems that hinder it.
I welcome everyone's view on this. It will not hurt my feelings if you disagree with me.
