I joined Spark Coach this week and I really think it it going to help me reach my goals. Today I learned about SMART GOALS.
This is an acronym for specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely. My homework for today is checking my goals and making a couple smart.
So here is my list for July 2013
1. Exercise- I said last month I would exercise 5 x week. Okay yeah I did this. I am going to make this more smart goal oriented.
I will go to the gym every mon/weds/fri and Saturday mornings.
Mondays/weds/Friday I will work for 30 minutes of cardio either the elliptical or treadmill or arc machine(ski like machine) I will finish with a 30 minute workout on the weight machines for strength training. Saturdays I have a standing appointment with a fitness trainer at the club at 700am(yeah early) and we are going to work on stretching and weight training.
Tuesdays and Thursdays I will walk 2 miles at the high school track.
2.- Nutrition- I have been eating clean for the last month and sticking to the priciples fairly well but a few new goals.
I will eat 5 servings of fruit/veggies every day this month.
I will eat one serving of healthy fats every day.
I will drink 64 ounces of water every day and with every meal drink a portion of the days allotment.
3. Weight- I would love to say I will lose 10lbs this month but I will make this more attainable.
I will lose at least 1 pound a week or more and if the scale does not reflect I will continue because it will show sooner or later.
