So I upped my weights finally. I have a set of 3s, 5s, 8s and now a set of 10 lbs dumbbells at home (technically the 10lbs are my bf's) and I never felt the need to up my weights because for some exercises the 8s were good and for others the 5s were good.
But then I went to go see Man of Steel in theaters and while I will admit that the guy playing Superman is totally hot and has a lovely body, I wanted to know what his workout was like. I'm aware that I'm a female and that he's male but I was still curious. So I happened across a video online showing him and one of his costars in the movie working out and as I was watching the video, I had an ah-hah moment. Which I love because I understood from before that I would need to up my weights but watching the video motivated me to actually do it. A lot of the stuff they did in the video was Biggest Loser stuff and I was so motivated to work out that I'm trying to hold on to this feeling for as long as I can. Which is a good thing. I didn't work out yesterday because I was running late for work but I got my workout in this morning and I felt like I was beaten immediately after. Which is to say that I felt AWESOME after.
I also managed to convince my bro to START Strength Training. Yay me!
