Getting to then point...

Hello all!
Despite a rough weekend and day at work and feeling like rubbish, here I am again making the best of what I have...and the results are good! The scales has finally moved, and I feel less bloated...my knee is still killing me...joint pain from Tamoxifen don't help much either...but I am up and running and feeling very motivated...I am going for my walk later on, not a very big walk to as to preserve my knee as much as I can, but going nonetheless!

I am trying to cut back on processed meats and such like, not a hardship as I love legumes and veggies- so much one can do with them- not boring at all! I feel that this is a step in the right direction...that, coupled with the advice from my oncologist re: diet has proved to be a winning formula...I hope that I can lose the weight despite the bloats and such from the tamoxifen...

    One thing to keep in mind with your knee if it is similar to my arthritis pain, exercise usually hurts BUT overall HELPS in the long run. You are doing awesome and staying focused and on track is really a good thing. You are making lemonade with the lemons you have been given and while it might not be what you were hoping for it tastes a lot better than the alternatives. (HUGS) will keep you in my prayers.

    I love that you walk through the pain and are working on your diet and trying to make the most of the situation. you have challenges but you are tough and you will succeed

    I'm happy for you. Good when the scale goes down.
Even it is a little bit. I love bread and other things myself.
However, learning to eat healthy and drink plenty of water.
Have you ever tried to make things like that healthy?
Use spaghetti squash instead of pasta. It tastes really good.
Swapping out turkey or chicken for heavier meats works as well.

    Congratulations on your focus and determination. Despite all of your challenges (some people would use them as excuses to give up) you are pushing through. Keep being kind to yourself, fuel your body with good foods and listen to it to stay in your healthy range of exercise. By going close to, but not pushing beyond, your exercise abilities you will find that you can actually build up and strengthen your knee and your body.
