How weird is that? Found out at my PT evaluation yesterday.
Anyway......I wanted to talk about eating on the weekends. I suck at it. During the work week I have a routine. I have a set time to workout, eat, drink water, head to the office, healthy snacks, walking, lunch, dinner, errands and stretching.
On the weekends, well everything is so loosey goosey. I never remember to eat. I never eat at my usual times and usually.......I don't eat enough or drink enough water either.
This last Saturday I had an appointment in the morning, got too busy before I left and didn't realize until after my appointment that I didn't eat breakfast. So I had breakfast at 12:30pm. Dinner was later and I wasn't very hungry but we went to Sushi and I had salmon nigiri.
Sunday we had breakfast, ran errands, got busy again and before I realized it, it was dinner time. Didn't eat lunch. Didn't snack.
I need to come up with a plan of action for the weekends. I have to come up with some routine to make sure I'm eating regular meals.
Fortunately, I'm not eating a bunch of garbage and sticking mainly to healthy foods (oh Killer Burger...it's been so long). My husband has been on a melon kick (yeah...I know that sounds dirty), so I've had a ton of fresh cut fruit to eat. He even made a fresh fruit salad with blueberries, cantaloupe and cherries this weekend.
So back to my action plan. I'm at a loss here as to how to approach the weekends to make sure I'm eating more than twice a day. I could work every weekend. No. I could have an alarm go off for every meal. No. No. No.
How does everyone else handle eating on their days off?
