Todays challenge in Spark Coach was to look back and see how far I've come.
I did and now I'm smiling from ear to ear.....
16 months ago when I joined SP I could not get down on the floor to do any of the mat exercises. Maybe I could get down but I knew I could not get up again. So I didn't ( get down or up)
Today I was on the floor for 30 minutes - Nope, I didn't fall and Nope I wasn't just lying around.
I was actually doing floor exercises like leg lifts, leg curls, and a move we called modified sit ups way back in high school but now are called triple toners, - with a new name like that I hope it burns three times the calories.
The sweat was dripping by the time I was done and I can feel every inch of muscle - Whoa - now where did they come from? -
Then like the obedient student of physical education that I am
I did about 5 minutes of stretches. I stretched so far I almost did a half body split
Now looking at the time I see it is only 11:05am so I have time to rack up another 6000 steps on my zip, and tonight is BOWLING................
How good can a day get?
Yes I have come a long way. The journey has not been easy and it certainly had its fair share of roadblocks and detours but what a journey it has been.
Diets - Bah!!! Humbug!!!!
