My sister and brother-in-laws` condo.
They live in San Diego only 1 mile from Mission Bay. It is so wonderful to get out and walk to most places that we went. How blessed were we!!??
So many beautiful trees and plants that are different than we can grow here in Phoenix, Arizona.
Husband and I had a special time together walking along the bay.
We relaxed outside the Catamaran Hotel. There was a lady there spending time with parrots as she was training this one to interact with an audience in a few weeks. He could say, "What is your name? My name is Chadrack." We were very entertained by him.
We had a nice lunch of halibut, coleslaw and fries at a place called Point Loma Seafoods
We spent a nice afternoon on their boat relaxing with drinks. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a nice sitting area with a built in full kitchen. I am amazed at how big it is every time I see it.
Sister and I spent a day together while guys went and shot some golf balls. We went to a place called the "Hash House" where they served these HUGE portions of food. The one with me is chicken & waffles which my sister and I shared. The other one is one of a table close by. I am not shy to take pics of other peoples` food.
Here is my sister and her husband. They are wonderful and loving people.
We went to the "County Fair" and I actually found something healthy that I could eat. It was a veggie burrito. Consisted of black beans, veggies, cilantro, avacodo and salsa wrapped in an herb tortilla. It was delicious.
Coming home, we stopped at a casino just 1 hour outside of San Diego .I have always wanted to stop but never had. This is where we took a $9 potty break.LOL I dropped $9 in the $1 slots before we left. My other bills were only $20 bills and I never play more than $10.
Yes, I lost it so that is why it is our $9 potty break. Husband does not play at all.
Outside of Yuma, Arizona....3 hours from home is what is known as the "DUNES". They are sand hills that people take dune buggys and enjoy riding over these sandy hills. I have never done this. But they are always interesting to me. Because Thanksgiving time is a long weekend and the weather is just right......this place is packed. You can bring trailers and rvs and spend the whole weekend.
We had a wonderful 5 days but it was time to head home. We didn`t want to...as we were coming from 68 degree weather to 105 degrees. But after all it IS summer.
I hope you enjoyed our mini vacation to beautiful San Diego. We will be going back again in August where we will be taking the Amtrack train along the coast to Santa Barbara for a few days then back to spend 2 days in San Diego.
