2013 - 175

Tuesday, June 25, 2013

I am now 6.2 lbs away from being out of the obese category according to the BMI chart. I know that thing is skewed, but it is still a tangible number that I can look forward to and a 'place' so to speak that I am aiming for.

Yesterday's goals:
40 mins of cardio - 67 emoticon
16 cups of water - 22 emoticon
low cal/low carb (under 50g) - yes/no 77g of carbs emoticon
Upper body ST emoticon

Today's goals:
30 mins of cardio
16 cups of water
medium calorie/low carb lets try under 50 again lol
KB swings (still trying to master that move before moving on)

You are right about the BMI. It is definately skewed, but a tangible number and Dr's still use it anyway. I think I will use it with bodyfat percentage.

Swings are the center of all the lifts! Until those are mastered to a t and then some, don't attempt anything else. Besides, all you really need are swings, cleans, and presses and some goblet or front squats. Snatches are the Tzar of the lifts and should not be tempted until a lot of presses are done done and a solid 4+ months in. Besides, it is high rep swings that hack off the fat! Ballistics is were it's at for fat loss! Unless you are doing doubles, but that is a whole other ball game!

Nice going Comrade' emoticon emoticon

I understand this goal too, I remember how important it was to me to reach it. About 20 minutes ago I was thinking how much more do I need to lose now to get into the "normal" range! Think of it this way....whatever motivates, right?!?!

Keep up the good work and you will be there in no time. You have a great program. emoticon emoticon

I feel the same way about BMI. I've seen people rant up and down about it and yeah, it's not a great indicator of an individual's actual level of health, but it's a milestone.

So congrats of how far you've come and keep going! You're doing awesome!
