Monday's Misfortune

Tuesday, June 25, 2013

OK, here I admit my total airheadedness. Most of the time I am pretty good about
using common sense, thinking things through, etc. But, unfortunately, not all
the time.

Witness today: Danny had an MRI scheduled, right? So, like any good mother,
I decided to go with him into the room with the big magnet. So go I did, purse
over my shoulder. Next thing I knew, my purse, and I along with it, were being dragged to the magnet and stuck, quite firmly. I wrenched the purse off,
removed it from the vicinity of the magnet, and thought no more of it.

Until I tried to use my debit card to gas up my car, and discovered that all of my credit cards had been de-magnetized. Ooooooooops!

I heard those things will suck the fillings right out of your teeth. Hopefully that's just an urban legend, but if not, I'd be begging it to take my credit cards if it must but PLEASE just leave my teeth! ;) Seriously though, I'm surprised the MRI tech (or whoever set you up in there) didn't give you fair warning about your purse. Pretty amazing that that machine had the power to pull you and your purse right to it!

Oh my - you made me laugh... I just pictured this happening.. not the fact that all of your cards are de-magnetized.

You'll have a better day tomorrow!
