It was definitely a Monday. A certain group of people will not take accountability for their own actions so they blame others. My department is guilty until proven innocent. So I left work a little late producing documentation to prove them wrong.
The weather was nice driving home, sunny and humid but I decided to go running since I still have not run in hot weather yet this season. It would be a great way to release my frustrations! No clean running pants, bummer. Okay, put the shorts on, its warm and humid after all. Who cares what I look like. So unlike me!
I walked out the door while setting up the MapMyRun app and noticed it was suddenly dark. I looked up, lightening, large, dark clouds. Okay, back inside. As soon as I shut the door, BAM, big thunder and driving rain. If I had left work on time, I would have been out in that! Phew!
Okay, plan B. I got the SP 28 Day bootcamp 30-minute total body challenge set up to go after I finished 15 min on the elliptical. Five minutes into it, the power blipped out. Internet, phone and cable out for a few minutes.
Then work paged me. Yikes, no Internet. I called a co-worker to take care of the call for me. The Internet came back but my work applications, not so much! I spent three hours working with my network staff trying to help me and also trying to figure things out on my own. Nothing! I was missing the Blackhawks game. Grrrr!
I finally heard from my director that I'm not the only one with this issue. They are trying to figure out what happened. So I finally sat down for the last five minutes of the Blackhawks game... Whooohooo! Blackhawks are the Stanley Cup champions! Sorry Boston friends!
So my workout plans were squashed BUT I did not get caught in an unexpected, horrible storm AND I got to see the best part of the hockey game.
I was quite the grump all day and this evening so I kept repeating in my head a line I read once... "You did not have a bad day. You had a few bad moments that you held onto all day."
Tomorrow is another day.
