Special of the Day

Monday, June 24, 2013

I planned to focus on making what I term "Mostly Woodsy" (mainly North American mammals) but because foxes were first on my mental "to do" list, and people who like foxes also often like Pembroke Corgis, and I KNEW I was low on THOSE (though I have a decent stock of Cardigans...) I decided to start with five corgis. Did a couple of foxes and a fennec, and a chipmunk, and then the kids started coming to watch. I made a badger, armadillo, a couple more chipmunks... And then I guided the kids in making penguins. My grandson already has his own pinchy technique and tackled the clay with confidence, but his half-siblings haven't had the resources, so they required a little more instruction. They came out recognizable - wait till they're fired and painted up!

I continued, making a deer and a mountain goat before calling it a day.

And here's how my "workroom" is filling up...

I think I would be scared of your the animals in your workroom at night. They might want to come out and play. ;-)

LOL.
