I cheated....

Monday, June 24, 2013

Ok, I cheated and didn't take a day off on Sunday. I walked the dogs and did an ab and upper body workout. I'm going to try to run tonight and just see how the IT band is feeling. I can walk fine, but sometime when I sit for a long time and get up, it's really tight.

My friend that signed us up for the 10K this Sunday, signed me up for the timed part. I'm going to try really hard to go easy, but knowing I'm "competing" will make me want to run at a faster pace. I'm going to run this race and then take a week off from running and see how the IT feels. If it's not better, then I may have to find an alternative form of exercise, at least for a while.

We'll see!!! I never thought I'd hate the idea of not being able to run! emoticon

I love this blog. You sound like me, or I try to run as hard as you. It's not cheating. It's maintaining and not going crazy. emoticon

You just can't sit still can you! You have become such an athlete and I am sure this is a struggle. Be careful though, you don't want to do more damage. If you are going to run this Sunday, at least take Saturday off COMPLETELY.

I am sorry to hear that you are still struggling with your IT.
Maybe rest will be beneficial to you, and then you will be able to start running again and stronger than ever!
