You all are great!

Monday, June 24, 2013

Was going to get up at 5am this morning and swim laps for an hour but I was too sleeping. It is always that way with me. I can't get to sleep and then I cannot get up. I think it has something to do with my working nights. Any who, went out to eat with my friend. I usually pay for him but with my new work situation I cannot afford to treat him all the time. The reason that I would always pay for him was that we were roommates 20 years ago when I was in nursing school so I feel like I owe him for helping me at that time. At the time he had a lot of money from an inheritance but over the years he spent it. My brother tells me that my friend takes advantage of me and or uses me. I think this is true because it I say that I cannot pay for dinner or his other needs then he is kind of hesitant about getting together for the day. Oh well. We move on. Cheers, Keith emoticon

There's always someone like in our lives, it seems. I would think you've long overpaid that debt by the way too!

Sometimes - it's a toss-up for me too. Which do I need more right now, sleep or exercise? Most of the time, I bargain with myself to get out of bed and exercise, with the promise of a nap later! lol Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't. Many times though, I forget I was even tired!

You're looking after yourself now, Mister -- and that's what's most important!!!

I like to treat friends and family to meals, but if I do it every time, then things are kind of awkward. Just communicate clearly in advance as to whether this is a treat or going dutch. I am sorry that your friend is hesitant, but it might be due to his finances and not a desire to take advantage. Only you know him and how he his. I hope it all works out well.

Good job on the sleep! I'm all over the clock right now and it's pretty miserable, lol! 13 hours one night, 4 the next, orienting during the day, then later this week flipping back to night.Oy!

Maybe your friend's budget is tight now too. After 20 years, you should be done paying back for a kindness. Hope you enjoyed sleeping in this morning. You're doing great.
