The full moon? Really?

Monday, June 24, 2013

Last night I tossed and turned and looked at the clock the last time at about ten till two and must have finally dozed off just to wake up at 5:22. Alarm goes off at 5:35. so up and at'em was my battle cry. It has been quite awhile since I have had such a night! Heat? Maybe. Something I ate or drank? Don't think say. No pain or discomfort. A friend suggested it may have been the full moon. What? Did I forget to howl at it to wear me out for my Z-z-z's? Didn't even notice there was a full moon with the shade drawn and lined curtains drawn. However, she says the full moon has disturbed her sleep.

A friend of ours works night shift at a hospital and says they can always tell when there is a full moon. Lots of "twilight zone" type people and happenings every full moon.

Did the full moon rob me of my sleep? Really? Well, maybe. All I am sure of is I am tired, hot and headachy and heading into cranky because of lack of sleep.

Gotta get some emoticon tonight.
Happy Monday to All! And to all a sleep-filled night!

I did a research paper on full moon syndromes and according to the evidence it has NOTHING to do with behavior...but in MY world of working on psych units, med surg units, and urgent care's like roaches coming out of the walls for bread crumbs..behaviors change, moods swing, babies come, and on and on..I'm not superstitious...but I see what I see. It's like the ebb to think about, just not taking it too seriously. Have a great day.

The full moon usually wakes me up; I get up, thank it for its beauty and go back to sleep. Works every time.
