Approaching Two-Year Sparkversary....

This Spark motivation slogan sums it up pretty good!
2 years of Sparking and now calling my own success because though I have not yet fully attained my original goal, I have maintained a 40 lb weight loss for over a year. I still Spark, track nutrition, blog, read up and check in with Spark friends and teams because this journey is not over. I work to continue making healthy choices that promote weightloss, maintainance, fitness, and emotional well-being. Sparking works for me! Special thanks to all fellow Sparkers who share inspiration, information, even setbacks and heartaches, then more motivation. Keep Sparking!

I am so grateful for Sparkpeople.com. I never thought I'd stick it out this long with tracking and following the site. There is still soooo much I have not explored here. Some days my interest wains or I get "too" busy but I always come back and continue. I read a post just tonight that made me realize why I like this place. I think it has a lot to do with making this journey a lifestyle and Sparkers here show how all this works or doesn't work in real lives. Spark has also taught me to refocus and retrain my DIET MENTALITY. I cringe when hear friends say they are trying a "new diet" or "diet supplement." Yes, I have to restart time and time again but each time it's just l little more "tweaking." I don't have that just ditch it forever, I can't do this anymore mentality. It is sooo good to have a solid foundation that just needs to "tweaking."

My mental state is just as reformed as my physical state. That feels awesome. So keep Sparking everyone!

I love that slogan. That was a very good blog. You have done so well keeping your 40 pounds off. It is true that you go through periods when you are unmotivated, but like you say, you always come back and continue. It is a lifestyle change/

Look how far you've come! You're doing so well, and it's sparkers like you who inspire me.
