The saga continues....

Monday, June 24, 2013

He was suppose to get here at 9am and finally showed up at 945 so some things never change - but at least it wasn't 5 hours!!!! I don't expect him to be here the very minute he said he would be - just 15 minutes more or less.
We had another meeting of the minds but I really don't see how he can finish the pantry today.
Oh, and then there is still the bathroom......He still ahs to add a guide on the door, mirror clips to the mirros and auger my shower drain (we think they got debris in the drain when they jack hammered)

Looking forward to having my house back!!!!

Boy do I feel your pain. I don't do construction well at all. I know it and try hard to make do but there is nothing I hate worse than someone not at least calling to let you know they are going to be later than planned. Hang in there!

Makes me grateful our contractor's crew showed up by 9 am and was done with our curbing before noon! I will post pics in a blog of our job-I still have to get more rock to finish the job after the concrete dries.

I am sure once this is all done you will be able to look back and laugh but it is going to be a bit! I could give you tales of our rv adventures and at the time it was quite tragic to us but now it gives us a great story to tell!

This probably not the time to read Peter Mayle, but your blog does remind me of his home remodel saga in France.

May your home be all the more wonderful for the wait during its hijacking!!! Blessings to your contractor to guide his judgement and hands, and to your home to keep your family safe and sound.
